About Stackwrite

Stackwrite is a resource hub for developers and indie makers who want to ship faster with AI. I cover AI coding tools, vibe coding workflows, open-source alternatives, and app development strategies — with verified, dated numbers, and a clear line between what I've used hands-on and what I've verified on paper.

Who writes this?

I'm Hirak Banerjee — a software developer and indie maker based in Canada. I build apps (like DayDrop, an iOS countdown widget app), write about the tools I actually use, and share what I learn along the way.

I work full-time as a software developer building enterprise software — and around that, I write Swift, ship my own apps, and test AI coding tools on real projects. Stackwrite is what I learn on the way, written down.

What you'll find here

The rules

Two kinds of coverage appear here, and each says which it is. Reviews and comparisons are of tools I've actually used — when I recommend something in those, it's because I use it myself. First looks and round-ups verify a tool's checkable claims (repo, pricing, limits, licenses) against primary sources on a stated date, and say plainly that I haven't run the tool through real work yet. What never appears: unverified numbers, undisclosed sponsorship, or a verdict anyone paid for.

The scope is deliberate: tools for people who build software — AI and developer tools, infrastructure, developer productivity, and iOS/Android apps. Consumer web apps, lifestyle tools, and marketing products don't get covered here, at any price. If you're thinking of submitting a tool, that's the bar it needs to clear.
